Easy Dinner Parties

Our 5 day Easy dinner parties course we will teach how easy entertaining and dinner parties can be. Tricks of the trade, forward preparation, timing, portion size & spending more time with your guests. Example itinerary beginners Cookery course  DAY 1 Saturday We will pick you up at Bergerac Airport and take the picturesc 30minute drive to our house “Les Caulins”. A quick tour of our house, relax, kick off your shoes, have a drink & settle in. We will meet at 7pm for aperitifs, canapés and a 4 course dinner with local wines.

DAY 2 Sunday Help yourself to; Continental breakfast/ Croissants, house Jam, Tea, Coffee Juice, etc…. A visit to Issigeac on of Frances prettiest markets Afternoon Preparation Quick Knife skills just to check you’re not going to injure yourselves. Onions, Diced Carrot, Tomato Concasse, Mushrooms, Bacon Lardons, Celery Chicken Stock and creating an easy meal for another day. Frangipan & Prune & Armagnac Tart Canapés             Late Lazy French lunch Sunday Lunch / Dinner French Sunday lunches are celebrated for the way people take their time to enjoy multiple courses of food accompanied by good wine and good conversation. We start with aperitifs and canapés, Oyster if you all like them followed by whatever is in season. Cheese follows and a typically Ice Cream.

IMG_1422 (3)  DAY 3 Monday  A visit to Duras and our local market A lunch of award winning Goats Cheese that has been made just 2km from the house by the wonderful shepherdess Stephanie. Afternoon Preparation for dinner may include; Red Wine Poached Eggs, Brochette, Potato Cake, Mushroom Sauce, Mayonnaise, Herb & Lemon sauce, Pears Bélle Hélèn, Chicken Ballotine & Poaching and Roasting, Pears

Morning Preparation Salmon Tian, Chicken Liver Parfait, Puy Lentils, Making Pisslardiere for lunch The afternoon is yours a nd we can visit one of Frances best chocolate produces at the Chocolate Shop /factory in Duras

5 nights’ accommodation in a room with super king size bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen, flat screen TV English channels, en-suite bathroom with walk in showers;

Flights are not included. We are 35 minutes from Bergerac airport & 80-100 minutes from Bordeaux.
